Instrument for safety testing of portable electrical equipment after repair or modification in accordance with DIN VDE 0701, or at regular intervals (periodic testing) per DIN VDE 0702.  

• The tester is similar to SECUTEST SII
  - but with an additional protective conductor test current of 10 A
    (models for some countries out of Germany)
  - but without medical testing per DIN VDE 0751

The instrument automatically recognizes the protection class of the device under test and performs complex testing, for the most part in an automated fashion. DIN VDE 0702, which has proven itself in practice, allows for the measurement of leakage current by means of residual current measurement in addition to the measurement of insulation resistance for the evaluation of the condition of the insulation. This is performed by the SECUTEST as part of a complete performance analysis, or as an individual test.

Instructions for use and the setting of parameters, measurement and test results, circuit diagrams, online help and error message are displayed in clear text at a large, point matrix LCD. Several different display languages can be selected.

Data transfer to the PSI module or to a PC is accomplished with the RS232 interface which is provided as standard equipment. Software programs are available for use with a PC which allow for the generation of test reports, as well as the entering of measurement and test data into the equipment management system, or into an overall administrative system for the electrical trade. Large inventories of electrical devices can be registered and managed for periodic testing purposes with the help of a barcode printer and a barcode scanner in an inexpensive and time-saving fashion.
