Continuous further development of the test system with regard to customer requirements results in expansion and improvement of test system software at regular
intervals.
Before starting the software update, notice the activated hierarchies (in
Setup-Object-Administration)
- Decompress the zip file onto your PC, which contains
- the secuapp.tar update file.
- all available test sequences
- manuals: technical data and operating instructions in english and german
- all necessary files for CF card operation
- all necessary files for data exchange with PS3 software.
- Store the content of the unpacked zip file to a compact flash card.
- Switch on the SECUSTAR and log in as admin.
- Insert the CF card into the slot at the back of the test system. If the CF card is of the correct type, namely type II, and if the system is able to access the card, the yellow LED at the right-hand side of the slot lights up.
- Open the setup menu and touch the update symbol.
- If you want to save your data - tip "Yes"
- To start the update procedure tap “Open” in the next screen.
Attention!
The update lasts for approx. 30 minutes and requires
the battery operation.
Please make sure that the batteries are charged sufficiently before you update.
At unloaded batteries the update can´t carried out completely and the testing
instrument must be send to the service.
All data which have not yet been saved to the database are irretrievably lost during the software update! A security prompt must first be acknowledged with the OK button. We assume no liability for data loss.
Automatic sequence:
1. Update preparation: advancing blue bar
2. Operating system is rebooted: initial screen with an advancing blue bar
- pause: approximately 30 seconds
3. The update is loaded (duration: approximately 7 minutes): two advancing blue bars
4. Operating system is rebooted: initial screen with an advancing blue bar
5. Calibration prompt
6. Logon window appears
7. The software update has been completed and the CF card can be removed
after pressing the button at the left-hand side of the
slot.
8. Activate the hierarchies that where active before the update.
9. Now you can load your saved data from data.xml from the CF card.
